5 Home Spaces That Will Help You Sell

If you thought that 2020 would be the year that you finally were ready to list your home for sale, you may have found yourself second-guessing that decision when the pandemic hit.

We’re nearly a year into the pandemic now and as much of America continues to work from home, the real estate market is starting to boom once again. Many buyers are eager to upgrade to a new home and are looking for features to satisfy their craving to have it all. Here are 5 top spaces that home buyers are on the search for.

1. Home Office

It is no secret that homeowners are working from home now more than ever. Having a quiet place inside your home to get work done is what many buyers are looking for right now. If you don’t already have a home office, find a little nook to place a desk or convert a spare room to attract buyers.

2. Updated Kitchen

Staying at home has made many people pull out their chef hats and find a new love for cooking. The kitchen has always been at the top of the list for most buyers but that is even more true now. Most people are looking for a large open kitchen where they can gather and cook meals with their family and friends. You make sure the kitchen is more attractive to buyers by adding small modern upgrades.

3. Home Gym

Many gyms across the country are closed. This has lead homeowners to find creative ways to work out. Having space in your home for a gym is high on many people’s lists. Add some mats and weights to the corner of your garage or basement to create space to stay active.

4. Outdoor Space

Not being able to go out in public how we use to has made many people realize how important the outdoors is. Families want space for their kids to play when they aren’t able to go to the local park. Backyard space, even if it’s small, is a very desirable home feature nowadays. Find ways to spruce up this space with a plant or some outdoor seating.

5. Extra Space

Buyers are looking for a home with extra space so they can have places to wind down and relax. Remove clutter and furniture to make your rooms feel more spacious.
